The Junior Horseman’s Scholarship:
The Junior Horseman’s Scholarship awards $500 to a junior competing at Downeast Medal Finals at any level. These funds can be used toward entry, warm-up and stabling fees, and will be awarded based upon merit and financial need, both demonstrated in an essay. Applicants should submit an essay (~750 words or less) that addresses the following: 1) please explain what horsemanship means to you, give examples demonstrating your level of horsemanship and initiative in the sport; and 2) how will receiving this scholarship enable you to compete at DMF (demonstrate your financial need).
